Description Job Title: Driver Reports to: Activities Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Position Summary: As the Driver, reporting directly to the Activities Manager you will ensure the provision of safe, timely transportation for all residents. This role is responsible for providing transportation in coordination with the nursing and activity departments to and from doctor’s appointments as well as planned activities. Essential Duties: Ensure the transportation for all residents Assist residents in and out of the van/bus Interact with residents, maintaining positive relations Maintain the cleanliness of the van/bus Inform the Executive Director of all current/potential repairs Maintain ongoing communication with the Activity Manager Create and follow the driving schedule as directed by the Activity Manager Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: One year of previous driving experience preferably in senior living Timeliness and flexibility Self-motivated and work independently Knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care Basic computer skills Education and/or Experience: Associate Degree and 0-2 years of experience, preferred High School diploma or GED and 2-4 years of experience Valid State Driver’s License (Class E required) Physical Demands To excel in this role, it is crucial for the employee to be prepared for the possibility of working with residents who may exhibit disruptive behaviors, including verbal or physical contact issues.
