Eassons operates approximately 325 trucks and employs over 500 people. Eassons Transportation Group provides dry and temperature-controlled TL/LTL services across Canada and the United States.
Opportunity exists for a Driver Performance Coordinator based out of our Kentville, NS HQ.
The Driver Performance Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing the performance of our professional driver team. This role is responsible for analyzing key performance metrics, coaching drivers toward improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence through mentorship. The successful candidate will be part of the Continuous Improvement team while acting as a liaison between HR, Safety, Operations and Drivers, ensuring performance standards are clearly communicated, understood, and met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field; prior driving or fleet support experience is considered an asset.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a coaching mindset.
· Proven ability to analyze performance data and translate it into actionable coaching strategies.
· Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage team members.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or transportation management systems.
· Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules is preferred.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

· Track, analyze, and interpret driver performance data (e.g., fuel purchasing and efficiency (idle time), safety scores, on-time delivery, HOS compliance, etc.).
· Identify trends, outliers, and opportunities for improvement based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with drivers to review performance results.
· Provide constructive feedback and coaching to help drivers improve in specific areas.
· Develop individualized performance improvement plans when necessary.
· Act as a mentor and resource for new and tenured drivers.
· Support driver onboarding by sharing performance expectations and success strategies.
· Provide guidance on company policies, safety standards, and best practices.
· Work closely with dispatch, safety, human resources, and training departments to align on performance goals and initiatives.
· Communicate driver concerns, challenges, and feedback to appropriate internal stakeholders.
· Contribute to the development and improvement of driver performance programs, tools, and processes.
· Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to driver coaching and performance management.
