Description At Pine Haven Christian Home, we believe every journey matters—and we’re looking for a dependable, compassionate Part-Time Driver to help our residents get where they need to go safely and comfortably. In this role, you’ll do more than just drive—you’ll be a friendly face, a helping hand, and an important part of each resident’s day. Provide transportation services to residents, ensuring timely arrival to scheduled appointments Observe safety measures for all residents when assisting them in and out of the vehicle Assure that all residents and passengers always wear safety belts Assure the proper and secure positioning of wheelchairs Work efficiently and with all departments to maximize the use of company vehicles Keeps vehicles safe and clean, and free of clutter Maintain a maintenance schedule for company vehicles and ensure the vehicles are serviced as required and kept in proper working order and all safety features function properly Assist, as needed, with light maintenance requests and snow removal Assist with the training of new staff members when requested Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is always maintained Attend and participate in required training, conducted at time of hire and/or annually, that will include training designed to assure resident safety: i.e. fire safety, missing resident, evacuations, disaster response, etc. Report any observed changes in a resident’s needs and/or condition immediately to a license nurse or manager as appropriate All other duties as assigned Requirements Valid driver’s license and driving record which meets insurance company guidelines Maintain good attendance, including timely arrival Support positive working relationships with fellow team members Interreact, communicate, and collaborate effectively with others Proficiency in spoken and written English is required and is essential to ensuring the safe, accurate, and effective care of our resident population Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills required Ability to work in a fast paced rapidly changing environment Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
