WHO WE ARE:

Desert Services provides trash and disposal services along with portable toilet solutions to the local community. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a pump truck to service portable toilets at neighborhoods, construction sites, and various special event locations, all while delivering the best service in the industry.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Engage in extensive physical activity, including constant entry and exit from the vehicle, scrubbing toilets, operating pumping equipment, and handling tasks solo.
• Work in environments with moderate noise levels, exposure to moving mechanical parts, and varying physical risks, requiring adherence to safety precautions.
• Be aware of surrounding hazards and changing situations, especially in construction zones, parking lots, and crowded areas.
• Expect exposure to outside weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold, as well as fumes and vibrations.
  At the end of the day, we go home knowing we’ve left behind satisfied customers!

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old with a satisfactory driving record.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Be comfortable with physical labor and working in various conditions.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.

• Safely operate a pump truck to service portable toilets at designated locations.
• Read and follow route sheets to service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain the cleanliness of your work vehicle, ensuring it is clean and organized inside at all times.
• Perform a physically demanding job that involves lifting, pulling, bending, and moving items weighing 25 pounds or more.
• Use hydraulic hand controls to operate equipment as needed.
• Interact courteously and professionally with customers.
• Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
