Description
Description Drivers are responsible for transporting residents to and from destinations throughout the greater Cincinnati area by bus. Adheres to the daily schedule to transport assigned passengers to and from destination on time in accordance with established policies and traffic laws. Demonstrates safe and efficient driving skills, and is courteous and cooperative. Responds promptly to calls. Delivers all requested items/passengers to appropriate destination. Reviews daily schedule and required safety checks prior to departure. Completes and returns all required trip documentation in a timely manner. Demonstrates professionalism, supports administration, maintains confidentiality, and adheres to Mission and Philosophy of the Bayley. Responsible for maintaining vehicles in a clean, orderly fashion. Must report any observed mechanical problems immediately. Attends mandatory inservices annually. Performs other duties as requested/required. Schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, and Sunday. Sunday hours will vary. Requirements Educational Attainment • High School diploma or GED required. Licensure/Certification • Valid driver's license. Specialized Knowledge/Skills • Compliance with training requirements of OAC 173-39-20. Ability to safely operate cars, vans, and buses in varying weather conditions. Ability to operate wheelchair lifts and vehicle safety equipment. Thorough knowledge of area roads and ability to read road maps. Ability to adjust routes in response to traffic or weather conditions. Ability to interact with elderly and handicapped in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Professional in appearance and behavior. Fewer than 6 points for traffic violations at any time Kind & Length of Experience • Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum two years driving experience.
