Job Overview This position is responsible for driving the bus/van for purposes of providing and addressing transportation needs of the Ebenezer Community, individual, and group transportation. Responsibilities Productivity and Initiative Completes transportation routes and duties in a timely manner. Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period. Organizes work assignments. Modifies schedule to accommodate the need of passengers. Ensures compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle. Communicates with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies. Dependability Provides supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties. Follows policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations. Functions effectively with limited direct supervision. Safety and Health Is responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers. Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services. Knows and practices infection control procedures. Knows and practices fire and disaster procedures. Knows and practices safety procedures. Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents. Responds appropriately to emergency situations. Participant/Resident Care Displays knowledge and understanding of participant and resident rights. Provides assistance to all participants and residents, as needed.
