Description Indiana Health Centers, Inc. (IHC) is a mission-driven organization providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to underserved and uninsured populations since 1977. At IHC, a Federally Qualified Health Center, we specialize in integrated care which means having access to essential services to meet the needs of patients we serve in the community. With ten healthcare centers, eight Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition program locations, a Mobile Health Unit, and in-house Pharmacy services (select locations), we offer primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services to community-based patient populations throughout Indiana that are diverse in age, educational background, and income level. The IHC Corporate team is now recruiting for a PRN Driver. The Driver is responsible for transporting supplies to IHC health centers throughout the state using their personal vehicle. The Driver also occasionally drives the Mobile Unit as a backup to the Mobile Unit Driver. Driver role responsibilities include: Deliver and pick up supplies to and from IHC health centers throughout the state of Indiana. Sort, load, and unload supplies collected along delivery routes. Ensure supplies are loaded correctly and take precautions with hazardous or fragile materials. Record information such as items received and delivered, check with home office after deliveries are completed to confirm deliveries and collections, and receive instructions for other deliveries. Maintain transportation logs such as mileage and travel logs. Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound personal vehicle. Maintain adequate fuel levels of the vehicle. Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays. Responsible for adhering to schedule and utilizing the online time management system to maintain up-to-date time records. Other duties as assigned by IHC Practice Manager or Director of Operations. Required Skills: Must be able to understand and comply with all traffic laws and applicable DOT rules and regulations. Able to use route navigation software to plan and adjust routes. Capable of a flexible work schedule, with possibility of occasional Saturday hours. Must be able to interact with health care team members in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner. Able to fully understand verbal and written instructions. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Responsible for the following and adhering to IHC’s Quality Standards which includes, but is not limited to: Medical Clearance, immunizations, staff training, CPR, Infection Control, and HIPAA. Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Must have a valid established driver's license with a clean driving record for 3 or more years; driver will be required to submit driver’s abstract record.
