We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Driver Sales Support employee to assist our Driver Route Salesman with in-store merchandising and order fulfillment at customer locations. This role is vital in ensuring accurate delivery, high-quality product presentation, and excellent customer satisfaction.
The Driver Sales Support employee works closely with the Driver Route Salesman to verify products against customer invoices, prepare orders for customer review, and properly merchandise products in-store. Responsibilities include rotating stock, removing expired or damaged items, organizing displays, and maintaining clean, well-stocked product areas according to company standards.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and customer-focused, with the ability to maintain a high standard of product presentation in frozen, refrigerated, and dry display areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support Driver Route Salesperson with merchandising and ensuring completed orders at Customer’s store locations.
• Help verify the product to the customer invoice and help prepare all customer orders.
• Process any and all products after customer verification. Includes backroom and salesfloor shelves and displays.
• Responsible for ensuring all displays are clean, organized and merchandise is displayed per the company guidelines.
• Responsible for the displaying of products, rotating products and ensuring displays are clean, marked, organized and well stocked.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help stock products ordered for Customers and follow all Customer and Huff delivery procedures.
• Help the Driver Route Salesman verify the order and wait for Customer approval.
• Pack out and rotate products in freezers, coolers, displays, back stock and special merchandise racks. Special attention to aligning products with the correct upward facing and in the labeled row if applicable within the freezer, cooler, shelf or display rack.
• Ensure cleanliness of all display cabinets and shelves.
• Place any special signs, point of display advertising materials at the Customers location.
• Mark and or price predetermined products with labeling equipment.
• Ensure any product returns and or damaged product is accounted for with the Driver Route Salesman and return to the delivery vehicle or assigned product hold area.
• Adhere to all Customer specific receiving policies and procedures.
• Provide consistent and accurate communication to store personnel, driver, sales and office teammates.
• Maintain flawless appearance of displays and special visual displays at store level including products on sales floor as well as in backrooms.
• Efficiently carry out put away procedures to ensure optimized efforts, product protection guidelines and food safety handling practices.
• Take direction from Route Driver Sales.
• Make notes of any Customer out of stocks, low inventory or Customer requests and convey the message to the Route Sales Driver or Sales Team.
• Upon return to office ensure the truck is clean inside, all materials properly disposed of and material handling devices i.e.: straps, carts, pallets, dollies and etc. are properly stowed and put away.
• Follow all company procedures, Good Housekeeping Principles, safety regulations and professional code of conduct.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Route Sales Driver or Supervisor.
