We are seeking an experienced Senior Driver (AZ or DZ with Boom/Crane/Hoist certification) to deliver building materials to residential and commercial job sites throughout the region. This role is best suited for a safety-focused, mechanically inclined and customer-oriented professional who takes pride in precise load securement, careful boom operation, and representing the company professionally on every delivery. This is an opportunity to be a critical link in the construction supply chain, ensuring materials arrive safely, accurately, and on time. Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of lumber and building materials. In this role, you will: * Safely operate 1-ton trucks, flatbed trucks, and boom trucks to deliver materials to job sites * Load, unload, and properly secure lumber and related building supplies using approved safe practices * Verify loads against shipping documentation prior to departure and resolve discrepancies with relevant staff * Operate boom/crane equipment to safely place materials on site in accordance with company procedures * Deliver and pick up materials on schedule while maintaining communication with the sales team regarding delivery instructions or changes * Confirm deliveries match customer orders on site and obtain required signatures * Collect payment for delivered goods and delivery charges when requested * Notify appropriate office staff or management of any issues, delays, customer concerns, or new job site opportunities * Perform daily vehicle inspections (circle checks) and complete electronic Drivers Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVR), including hours of service * Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and inspection records * Check and replenish fluids and fuel, alerting mechanics to any issues as required * Immediately report equipment failures, damage, incidents, hazards, or safety concerns * Maintain clean company vehicles; remove and dispose of debris and garbage daily. No smoking is permitted in or around company vehicles, on sites or outside of prescribed areas * Comply with all relevant legislation, including Ministry of Transportation and Highway Traffic Act regulations, as well as company policies and procedures * Wear required personal protective equipment and dress appropriately for outdoor work in all weather conditions * Follow direction of Managers or their delegate * Perform miscellaneous duties related to the retail lumber business as assigned. From time to time, duties other than those outlined in this job description may be required, and drivers are expected to perform them to the best of their ability, knowledge, and experience What you bring: At Muskoka Lumber, we are looking for a professional driver who combines technical skill with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
