QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in industrialized cleaning or heavy general labour is considered an asset;
  • Minimum of 2 years AZ/DZ driving at an industrial capacity;
  • Availability to work overtime and on weekends;
  • Motivated and self-driven, with a willingness to learn;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Possess a valid AZ or DZ driver’s license;
  • Must be able to reliably commute to Kingston Shop for work.
Responsibilities
  • Operation of a vacuum truck to travel to job sites within the city;
  • Work at a hands-on capacity to provide water blasting services in confined spaces;
  • Run vacuum truck operations, removing debris build-up, and providing industrial cleaning flush-out services;
  • Perform physically repetitive and demanding tasks including but not limited to: loading and unloading trucks, heavy lifting, pulling/pushing, prolonged standing and walking;
  • Complete daily circle checks and manually document logs via driver’s logbook to record bills, manifests, etc.;
  • Conduct routine trip inspections on equipment, loaded and unloaded materials, and supplies for the road;
  • Report any defects, damages, accidents or traffic violations regarding company vehicles;
  • Weight handling up to 50lbs independently, and up to 100lbs as a team;
  • Wear all required PPE: steel-toed safety shoes, gloves, paint suits, and/or masks and eye wear as applicable;
  • Follow all company instructions, safety policies and procedures;
  • Ensure legislative compliance with safe vehicle operation, driving hours of service, weight and dimensions, and occupational health and safety;
  • Other duties as assigned.
