Overview:
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver Team Leader to join its Waste Services team. This role involves working in line with statutory requirements and council policies to ensure the effective delivery of waste services. The Driver Team Leader will be responsible for supervising a small team of up to three staff members, ensuring that daily operations meet professional and service delivery standards. A key part of the role includes maintaining high levels of health and safety, delivering excellent customer service, and fostering positive relationships through ongoing customer feedback and engagement.
About you:

The successful candidate will have:

• High standard of driving skills.
• Current clean LGV (Class II) driving licence holder, or working towards, the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
• Desirable experience, Experience of refuse collection operations, CITB Plant (HIAB) Operators Certificate and LGV (Class II) driving experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, i.e. residents, staff, management, members of the public and other road users.
• Ability to provide a high standard of customer care at all times ensuring a high excellence of service delivery.
• Ability to follow route plans and maps.
• Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
• Must have CPC qualification
