About the Role
Salvos Stores are looking for a Driver to support operations at their Carole Park Warehouse.
Reporting directly to the Logistics Supervisor, you will ensure the timely and accurate collection of goods from donor properties, clothing banks and stores, which requires you to deal directly with the public and evaluate and decline items that are not in a resalable condition.

Working independently, you will you have excellent customer service, communications and problem-solving skills to assist you with;

  • Loading/unloading – loose good including furniture items;
  • Performing labouring tasks. Together with a jockey you will lift and carry reasonable weights;
  • Distribution of goods to stores and assisting retail staff where required;
  • Ensuring a professional customer relations experience for our customers;
  • Using an electronic device to complete delivery paperwork;
  • Maintaining safe WHS methods and driving practices;
  • Completing pre-start checks, reporting incidents, near misses and vehicle maintenance issues;
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle provided.

You will Have:

  • MR licence (essential)
  • Minimum 1 years’ driving experience operating a medium rigid vehicle (or equivalent).
  • Relevant license to operate a counterbalance forklift (desirable).

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in multi-drop, courier or furniture removal (highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer facing role (highly regarded)
  • Sound verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of people.
  • Strong time-management skills, reliable and a can-do attitude.
