We are an industry leading third party logistics provider expanding into the Surrey area at the request of several key clients. We are committed to excellence and safety in the industry. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Driver Trainer to join our team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that our drivers are screened at hiring and trained throughout their employment to the highest standards and help us maintain the safety and efficiency that our clients expect. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid Class 1 driver’s license in B.C. is a must.
  • Previous experience in the transportation industry, including hands-on driving and/or training roles.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to evaluate and assess driving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and schedules simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to work in person and engage directly with driver applicants and clients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in driver training or related fields is an asset.
  • Experience in client-facing roles with a focus on customer service.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct Road Tests: Evaluate the driving skills of applicants by performing road tests to assess their ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Training & Development: Design and implement training programs for new and existing drivers, covering safety protocols, vehicle operation, customer policies and best practices for on-the-road performance.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary daily point of contact for clients, ensuring awareness of their staffing needs and working with our team of recruiters to fulfill those needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track driver progress and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement and safety compliance.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all training and testing meets regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate records of driver licence status, abstracts and up to date training certifications.
  • In-Person Instruction: Conduct both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction, ensuring that all training is hands-on, engaging, and tailored to the needs of the driver applicants.
