Description ABOUT THE POSITION: The UD Team is looking for a diligent Driver. This role involves transporting students to school activities using a 20/30 passenger bus, supervising students on-site, and aiding the administrative team to maintain seamless operations. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: Urban Dove Team Charter School (UD Team) is a distinctive network of sports-based high schools catering to over-aged, under-credited youth. We fuse a robust academic curriculum with sports-based youth development, ensuring our graduates receive a diploma, a stepping stone for higher education, and essential job skills. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Transport students to school and events, following a set schedule and ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Prioritize passenger safety and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain records, and address any maintenance needs. Create a welcoming environment for students, families, staff, and visitors. Oversee student and visitor movements within the school, ensuring adherence to safety rules. Maintain a tidy and organized school environment, ensuring consistent and clear signage that upholds the UD brand. Supervise students during meals, meetings, and special events. Support logistical tasks, such as material pick-up/drop-off, unpacking, and copying. Perform additional tasks as needed, aligning with skills and interests. Requirements Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License. Proven ability to multitask with high-quality results. Calm and composed disposition. Dedicated to UD Team's mission, emphasizing Teamwork, Leadership, and Communication. Advocates for restorative practices and a positive, youth-focused approach. Effective team player, capable of independent work. Strong work ethic, exceptional communication skills, passion for aiding at-risk youth, and a good sense of humor.
