Description This is a temporary position beginning mid-October and ending late January/early February based on need for coverage. The workdays and hours for this position are Monday- Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM. Boston Document Systems is a fast-growing copier company looking for a responsible CDL Class B Driver/Warehouse Associate. This position is expected to safely transport all equipment, supplies, and parts to customer locations. The Driver starts their day at our main hub in Marlborough to complete a Pre-Trip inspection of the truck, load up the equipment needed for the day, grab the paperwork, and safely deliver the equipment to the customer location. Drivers use an iPad daily for emails and digital forms that are essential to complete. If stairs are at a customer site, the driver must use a stair climber dolly to transport the machine up and down the stairs. There may be between 1-4 stops a day depending on the needs of the day. Requirements Essential Functions/Tasks/Responsibilities: · Must be able to learn to use the stair climber · Good communication and customer service skills · Use an iPad to check emails and fill out digital forms · Must be able to complete a daily Pre-Shift inspection of the truck being used for the day · Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures · Maintain a professional attitude and appearance · Ensure cargo is secure with straps and blankets · Must stay at a customer site for the duration of the installation if equipment needs to be removed (this may require overtime in certain circumstances) · Pays attention to detail, is dependable, productive, and works well in a team environment · Punctuality arriving to work and to customer sites · Assist warehouse team if needed which may include building new equipment, cleanliness, refurbishment, and cycle counts · Able to use a truck GPS · Clean CORI is required · CDL Class B license required along with a clean driving record and at least 1 year of experience Physical Demands: · Must be able to drive for long durations of 8 hours or more · Must be able to safely push 300lbs-500lbs with assistance of copier wheels and a stair climber dolly · Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance · Must be able to crouch, bend, kneel, sit/stand for long durations, and reach Travel: We service New England. Travel time varies, but oftentimes there is travel to customer sites in Massachusetts and Connecticut. We do travel to New York and New Jersey as well, and occasionally further. There are rare instances where overnight travel is offered, but not required. Required Education or experience: Must have a GED or High School diploma and a valid CDL Class B license for at least 1 year.
