Essential Job Responsibilities * Transport residents to and from medical appointments and other locations, communicating effectively with residents. * Ensure the safety of the residents as they enter and exit the vehicle. * Ensure that the residents get into the office/building of their appointment in a safe and timely manner. * Assist the residents with walking aids when entering and exiting the vehicle. * Provide a high level of customer service at all times. * Maintain records of resident appointments and submit to office for monthly billing per established procedures. * Notify supervisor of any mechanical problems/deficiencies of the vehicle. * When necessary, assist the lifestyle team with activities during outings. * Report any concerns of the resident’s well-being to supervisor or Executive Director. * Participate in emergency evacuation drills and help assist residents to safe areas, as needed. * Maintain vehicle in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. * Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs. * Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to resident, facility operations and personnel. * Other duties as assigned Education, Experience and Other Requirements * High School diploma or GED * Must be a minimum of 21 years of age * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record * Must have Class B or C CDL license, if driving applicable bus * Chauffer’s license, if required by state Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required * Strong customer service skills * Ability to assist residents with mobility * Promote teamwork in providing services to residents. * Demonstrated organizational and communication skills Preferred Qualifications * Willingness to learn and help others * Enjoyment in working with older adults
