About the Role: The Lumber Delivery Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of lumber and related building materials to construction sites, retail locations, and customer residences across the United States. The driver is responsible for loading, securing, and unloading lumber products while maintaining the integrity of the materials during transit. Ultimately, this role contributes to the smooth operation of the supply chain by delivering high-quality materials efficiently and professionally. Minimum Qualifications: * Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class. * Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents. * Ability to lift and carry heavy materials safely, typically up to 50 pounds. * Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols. * Strong time management skills and ability to adhere to delivery schedules. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience driving flatbed trucks or vehicles equipped for lumber transport. * Familiarity with GPS navigation and route optimization software. * Previous experience in the lumber, construction, or building materials industry. * Customer service experience with a focus on professionalism and communication. * Certification in forklift operation or other material handling equipment. Responsibilities: * Operate commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. * Load and unload lumber and building materials carefully to prevent damage. * Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals. * Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns. * Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly. * Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic records. * Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and material handling.
