About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transportation & Direct Support Specialist to provide transportation and direct care services to young adults. This role combines safe vehicle operation with hands-on support, helping individuals access services, develop life skills, and engage in their community. Key Responsibilities: Safely transport clients to medical appointments, program services, and community activities Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance issues Follow all traffic laws and agency safety protocols Maintain accurate documentation (mileage logs, reports, incident records) Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid/CPR as needed Support clients with daily living skills (shopping, budgeting, routines, appointments) Promote independence using person-centered and trauma-informed care approaches Communicate effectively with clinic staff and report client needs or concerns Assist with clinic operations during downtime (errands, setup, group support) Qualifications: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record Ability to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries Strong communication and organizational skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience in human services or direct care preferred Additional Expectations: Adhere to organizational policies and procedures Attend trainings and staff meetings as required Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all individuals EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 to 6 months related experience and /or training, or human service training certificate. Responsibilities
Safely transport young adults to medical appointments and community activities while maintaining vehicle logs and safety protocols. Provide direct support to help clients develop daily living skills and promote independence through person-centered care.
