JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires a strong understanding of crane operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on construction or industrial sites.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Crane Operator with knowledge of various crane types (e.g., tower, mobile, overhead).
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations related to crane operations.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents related to lifting operations.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Certification from a recognized body (e.g., NCCCO) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.

Responsibilities
  • Operate cranes to lift, move, and position loads according to project specifications.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and other lifting equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Follow all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery in compliance with industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with ground crew members using hand signals or radio communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including load weights and lifting times.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on cranes to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assist in rigging loads and securing them for safe transport.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
