Description The Driving Safety Coordinator is a member of the ROC Risk Management Team reporting directly to the CLO providing support to the drivers and managers as the first evaluator of driver safety related events. This position will also create and provide safety-related driver training and will maintain driver files, including DOT Qualification and Medical files. Objective: Maintain a best-in-class safety and FMCSA/DOT compliance ratings, ensure timely and consistent coaching and training for drivers at all locations, and ensure driver files, including DOT Qualification and Medical files, are updated and in compliance. Responsibilities: Oversee all driver interviews, onboarding, training, coaching, and recommend corrective actions for driving related safety events Report driver infraction data: safety metrics & accidents Monitor drivers via vehicle video system, evaluate incidents, review safety events, provide driver coaching and consistently apply company policy regarding driving safety compliance, escalating incidents up the chain of command when necessary Coordinate, create and present safety related driver training Aid in the approval process for driver safety related incentive programs Provide communication and policy support for safety related driving incidents Requirements Proven work experience with a similar role, risk management, or CDL driving experience Solid knowledge of the transportation industry and CDL driving licensing requirements, laws, rules, and regulations Excellent technical/computer, organizational skills, and attention to detail Ability to supervise and train drivers Problem-solving abilities Ability to work well with managers, team members and navigate stressful situations Excellent leadership skills Good conflict resolution skills Preferred Skills/Qualification: Active CDL or previous CDL license holder 3 years fuel transportation experience 3 years Samsara or similar driver safety application experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and Supplemental Insurance, 401k, Identity Theft Protection Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 ROC is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAll Qualified Applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran VEVRAA Federal Contractor requesting referral of protected veterans
