JOB SUMMARY

The “Remote Pilot” supports the operation and execution of an end-to-end drone delivery service using the drone delivery system. Crew members will receive and fulfill customer orders from local businesses and deliver orders from the fulfilment center to the customer’s front/backyard using the drone delivery system. All crew members will develop a full understanding of CFR 14 Part 107 and Part 135 regulations and will ensure operations are compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations. Each crewmember must explicitly follow safety and operational protocols, while possessing characteristics of integrity and trustworthiness.
This position requires a valid Remote Pilot Certification issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. All team members must possess a Part 107 Certificate to commercially operate sUAS.
  2. Proficiency in standard Microsoft office software suite applications.
  3. Good organization and communication skills, both oral and written, are essential to success in this position. Can develop and deliver clear, concise communications.
  4. Must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, trusting, flexible, and safety focused environment.
  5. High School Education or GED Equivalent.
  6. Valid Driver’s License – Subject to driving record history check prior to employment.
  7. Part 135 crew members will be subject to pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol screenings.
  8. Part 135 crew members will be required to obtain a Class III FAA medical certificate.
  9. Must be at least 21 Years Old (due to corporate insurance requirements)

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (or In-Progress).
  2. One (1) to two (2) years’ experience working with RPA or UAS.
  3. Part 61 pilot experience is a plus.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.Daily fulfilment center set up and tear down.
2.Receives and fulfills orders on foot and/or by driving in an automobile.
3.Ensures operational status of all required equipment.
4.Documents daily flight activities and flight logs.
5.Conducts operations following strict procedures and checklists.
6.Deconflicts ground and air risks based on CFR 14 Part 107 or Part 135 during all operations.
7.Operates system in compliance with CFR 14 Part 107 or Part 135.
8.Provides customer service and support to current and future customers.
9.Assists with the improvement and efficiencies of current operations.
10.Performs public outreach using various means.
11.Performs collateral duties as required.
