Pay Rate: $16/hr *Housing options available after 90 days* This position is responsible for retrieving unverified cash from slot machines. Accurately count, wrap and transport cash and chips in the casino. Handle large amounts of verified and unverified cash and cash-equivalents. Must be 21 years of age or older. Position works between Maverick Casino & Hotel and Gold Country. DEFINITION: Responsible for the accurate count and recording of all cash monies turned into the Casino Cage; ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The duties listed below are examples of the work typically performed by an employee in this position. How You'll Succeed In this role you will: Collect cash drops from slot machines on a drop and count days. Deliver cash drop, Table Games drop and Poker drop to Vault. Process cash/chips and record according to prescribed procedures to transport and store. Verify chips and cash using counting equipment. Perform related and/or other duties as required. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to pass basic math test. Must obtain a Nevada Gaming card. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. On feet or standing 100% of time. Ability to follow directions thoroughly. Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor. Ability to prioritize and organize. Ability to be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement. Ability to understand guest’s service needs. Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
