Alliance Global Solutions is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Drop Survey Technician for Fiber Optic Cable Burial In Nashville, TN. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive site surveys to determine the most efficient and effective routes for burying fiber optic cables. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accurate identification of existing utilities, including water, gas, power lines, and other telecommunication infrastructure, to avoid interference and ensure the safety of the installation process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Clean background and driving record.
  2. Strong understanding of utility location techniques and regulations, with the ability to accurately identify and mark the locations of underground utilities.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  4. Detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and precision in surveying and documentation.
  5. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
  6. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
    Must live within 40 miles of the Nashville, TN area
Responsibilities
  1. Conduct on-site surveys to assess the terrain, existing infrastructure, and potential obstacles for the burial of fiber optic cables.
  2. Utilize surveying equipment and techniques to accurately map out proposed routes for cable burial.
  3. Identify and notate the locations of existing utilities, including water, gas, power lines, and other telecommunication infrastructure, using industry-standard methods such as white lining.
  4. Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to develop and refine cable burial plans based on survey findings and site conditions.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards during the surveying process.
  6. Document survey findings, including detailed notes, photographs, and sketches, to support project planning and execution.
  7. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to provide updates on survey progress and address any concerns or challenges.
