OVERVIEW: As the SOCNORTH DRRS/JTT Specialist, you will support the J37 Division Chief and fully integrate into command training, readiness reporting and exercise planning, execution and assessment. GENERAL DUTIES: Assist SOCNORTH DRRS implementation, sustainment, auditing, training, testing and set priorities to facilitate the processes. The DRRS specialists will also conduct analysis of complex DRRS Related issues and develop concise recommendations as required. Gather, organize, and create Monthly and Quarterly Readiness Concerns report for USNORTHCOM and USSOCOM for integration with the Joint Forces Readiness Review and Quarterly Readiness Metrics Briefing. Utilize readiness reporting systems such as Joint Mission Essential Task List Development, Joint Training System (JTS), Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Joint and Service Planning and Operational Concepts and Systems and Department of Defense strategic policy, planning, and implementation processes and procedures as they relate to readiness and training. Provide training to and support SOCNORTH staff on DRRS and JTS analyzing operational deficiencies to develop technical shortcoming lists as required. Support JMETL (Joint Mission Essential Task List) with development and assessments for SOCNORTH by providing input and feedback into mission-oriented task as required. Support the integration, coordination, and standardization of special operations forces mission essential tasks and related conditions and standards at the HQ, Service Components, TSOC, and Unified Command level using the Joint Training Manual for Armed Forces of the United States as guidance. Support exercise design, Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) planning, scenario scripting, training, and observations where necessary. Create or review training events concepts, to include purpose, objectives, broad scenario characteristics, processes, and products to support the mission and objectives of the training event’s sponsor. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Subject matter expertise with DRRS. Subject matter expertise with Joint Training Tool (JTT). 4 years prior military experience. 2 years joint SOF operations staff experience. 2 years exercise planning experience. Possess the ability to obtain/renew DRRS Certification PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience supporting operations at a Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) or Combatant Command (COCOM) level.
