Description Georgia Medical Staffing is in need of a full-time, Diagnostic Radiological Technologist , interested in a FT, 1+ year contract with the VA in Minneapolis, MN. Details: Contract - May 15, 2026 - May 14, 2027 - with option to extend Hours: M-F 7a-3:30p (may occasionally need help with evenings or weekends based on need) Location: Minneapolis VA Health Care System, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis MN 55417 $40 per hour Healthcare & Dental Benefits, 401k, paid vacation Diagnostic Radiological Technologist must be qualified to perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) covered under this contract and must hold current certification through the American Registry of Radiological Technicians: R.T. (MR)(ARRT). Scope: Patient Care: Preparing and positioning patients for MRI scans, explaining the procedure, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process. Equipment Operation: Selecting appropriate imaging techniques, calibrating and adjusting MRI equipment, and operating the MRI scanner to produce high-quality images Image Quality Assurance: Reviewing and verifying the quality of images, ensuring they meet the required standards for diagnostic purposes, and communicating with radiologists for further evaluation. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols to prevent exposure to magnetic fields and ensuring that patients do not have any metallic implants or devices that may be affected by the MRI. Clinic Responsibilities: Be present on time for scheduled MRI shift start times as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time. Administrative: Maintain detailed patient records, documenting procedures performed, and handling confidential patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and discuss imaging results and to provide comprehensive patient care. Requirements Must have active, unencumbered DRT certification Must be certified through ARRT Clean background BLS certification
