Program Description: The Family Healing Center (FHC) is an innovative licensed inpatient 3.5 drug and alcohol facility dedicated to comprehensive addiction treatment and family healing. FHC provides a holistic approach to recovery, offering personalized care for individuals struggling with addiction while actively involving their families in the healing process. Through a combination of evidence-based therapies, trauma-informed care, and family support programs, FHC addresses the underlying causes of addiction, promoting emotional and behavioral well-being. The program empowers individuals to rebuild their lives and strengthens family bonds, fostering a supportive environment for long-term recovery and resilience. Position Title and Overview: FHC – Counselor Assistant Support the delivery of trauma-informed, client-centered care by assisting in individual, group, and family therapy sessions, ensuring an environment that fosters healing, resilience, and personal growth. Assist in the development and maintenance of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans by gathering client information, tracking progress, and ensuring documentation meets ASAM criteria. Co-facilitate engaging therapeutic and psychoeducational groups alongside clinicians, helping clients build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and maintain motivation in their recovery journey. Collaborate with clinicians, Certified Recovery Specialists, case managers, and other team members to coordinate holistic, wraparound care that meets the full scope of client needs. Actively connect clients with community resources, aftercare supports, and recovery opportunities that promote long-term stability, family reunification, and a meaningful life beyond treatment. Location and Travel Requirements: This position is primarily located in Mt. Oliver. All positions are also expected to come to training, meetings, and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport, as scheduled. The travel required for this position is regular. Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or other related fields. Valid PA driver’s license, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance. Requires working varied hours, including evenings, some weekends and holidays. Must be able to work Friday-Tuesday 11am-7pm .
