Description

Job Reference: 0045
Are you a fun-loving, charismatic, and young at heart musician who loves to make children feel like rockstars?
Anthem Tuition wants you to join our team of teachers! We are currently looking for a Thursday drum teacher at our Monton Music School.
We offer small group music lessons at the Anthem Music School and we are seeking a creative and passionate teacher with a pop/rock focus who can work well with children.
Lessons currently take place on Thursdays between 4:30pm-8pm, 48 weeks per year. We are looking to extend this to 4pm-8pm in the near future. Starting pay for this position is £18ph for a new teacher at Anthem Music School.
At Anthem Tuition, we believe that music lessons should be fun and engaging for our primary and high school aged learners. That’s why we are looking for someone who can plan exciting lessons for children and incorporate games into their teaching. As part of our mission, we want to make our students feel like rockstars and inspire them to become lifelong musicians.
The main tasks of this assignment include teaching primarily small group lessons, preparing for lessons, and printing music for students to use in class. You will also be responsible for writing brief weekly lesson notes, setting practice homework and encouraging students to get involved in our performance opportunities.
The ideal candidate should possess a fun and professional approach, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational and time management skills. We also value initiative, tenacity, and a positive approach to change. A passion for educating children is a must!
Qualifications for this assignment include a degree level in Music/Music Performance/Music Technology (desirable) and grade 8 level on your instrument (desirable). Previous teaching experience (particularly for GCSE/BTEC music students) is also desirable, but additional training can be provided.
As a teacher at Anthem Tuition, you must be customer service focused, possess excellent communication skills, and work well in a team. You should be confident in teaching children in a way that is easy for people of all ages to understand.
If you are a professional and confident musician who loves to create a positive and encouraging learning environment for children, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
