Progress Music Academy are looking for a part-time Drum tutor, starting late January 2025 to strengthen our team.
DESCRIPTION:
All lessons are 1-2-1, students, all teaching resources and equipment are provided, tutors work to an agreed availabilty, predominantly here in person at the studios, or online lessons via Zoom.
Must have some experience in teaching 1-2-1 lessons from aged 6 and upwards, along with some understanding of the common music examination framework systems in place. (Preferebly Trinity Rock & Pop) and be able to read to a reasonable level. Must also be comfortable with varied style of music, although thorough training will be provided.
We provide a fun, passionate, but professional lifestyle service to music students of all ages. We aim to work with people who possess an outgoing, confident & positive character as we operate a fully inclusive, fun and positive environment for anyone who wishes to learn music.
Candidates MUST be responsive, reliable & consistent.
Ideally, candidates would be based in the Birmingham area.
HOURS:
Initally looking for two afternoon/evenings per week to start. This is a new position, to please allow for the schedule to build.

Progress is Birmingham’s exclusive Trinity Rock & Pop Exam Centre (Trinity College London) and supported by Legendary Guitar Amplifier Manufacturer Marshall Amplification and Drum Company Natal Drums.
Owned and operated by Music Industry expert Gary Walmsley and supported by a team of 14 vastly experienced tutors, Progress is regarded as Birmingham’s longest running independent music school.
