Job Description AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Part-Time Day Program Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Queens Adult Day Program. DATE & TIME: TUESDAY JUNE 16TH from 2PM - 4PM LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates. PER-DIEM POSITIONS: Pay Rate: $20 per hour....No Benefits. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 2:30pm (30 hours per week). Why become an AHRC NYC DSP! Hands on work experience Paid Training Job Security and Career Advancement Responsibilities: Work with participants by assisting them to learn and develop social skills, daily living skills and habits. Accompany participants to appointments, community outings, and other activities. Complete progress notes and make entries into the daily log book. Qualifications Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Drivers License for more than one year in good standing preferred Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English. Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same. Understanding of Person Centered Planning. Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies. High School diploma or GED is required.
