  DSP (Direct Support Professional)- Full-Time- Springfield, IL Hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm  Hourly Rate: $19.50- $20.10  Full-Time Position with Paid Training! Tuition Reimbursement and Comprehensive Benefits Package!    LOOKING FOR  Are you a Direct Support Professional or student studying psychology, elementary or special education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or other related fields looking to gain experience with children with developmental disabilities? There’s no place like Hope.     WHAT YOU WILL DO  * Work directly 1:1 in a group home setting with children with developmental disabilities * Effectively communicate with families/guardians about their child’s progress. * Work with the treatment team to track session data and help clients achieve individualized communication and early learning goals. * Assist with planning and preparing for clinic-based group activities. * Model professional appearance and attitudes.    WHAT YOU WILL BRING  * Must be 21 years of age or older. * High School Diploma or equivalent education. * A Valid Driver’s License * Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening. * Lift, push, pull and/ or carry 50 pounds. * Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl and run.  WHAT WE PREFER  * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a psychology, education, or human services related field. * Experience working with people with developmental disabilities. * Enthusiasm for working with children.   WHAT YOU WILL GET  * Top tier on the job training * Paid holidays, sick days, vacation days, and personal days each year. * Health, dental, vision, and life insurance. * Short & long term disability. * Employee and Dependent Tuition reimbursement * 401(k), Match & Profit Share * On-site health clinic for covered employees.   Hope is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
