Location: Fargo, ND Shift: Primarily afternoon and evening shifts every other weekend (Hours will vary) Hours would vary from 12pm to 9pm Job Schedule: Part Time Weekly Hours: 15-20 JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to support clients with their life to include health and personal care, therapeutic, educational, recreational, and leisure activities for individuals with disabilities to achieve maximum growth and learning, as they make transitions throughout life. This position supports the development and connections needed to participate in community life for the individuals served. The CBS Direct Support Professional (DSP) will work independently with individuals in the center location, in their home or work site and throughout planned daily activities. QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements) Education and/or years’ experience required: High School Diploma or equivalent DD modules completed or ability to complete Valid Driver’s License Reliable transportation Preferred Skills and Abilities: Ability to learn and perform personal care, education and therapeutic programs and can learn and comprehend medical terminology One year’s experience working in the developmental disabilities field Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
