Description Job Summary: Direct Support Counselor is desired to work in the King County homes that require 24-hour supported living services. team. Full or part-time hours are available. Our clients thrives on their daily routine yet also enjoys impromptu outings and being participants of the community. . Paid training is included. Responsibilities and duties include: · providing mobility support, · promoting positive: mental, physical, and nutritional health · observing, monitoring and recording clients' conditions · healthy communication with clients, relatives and other caregiving assistants · personal care, including infection prevention and control, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort and safety · performing household chores and ordering supplies Please reply if you enjoy learning and working in a collaborative, symbiotic team environment, that provides and expects a high-quality level of care. Compensation and Benefits: Starting pay is $25.00 per hour. Full-time employees receive medical and dental benefits, paid vacation and sick leave, holiday bonus pay, and 401(k) options. Scheduling: Parkview provides 24-hour care including weekends and holidays. A full-time schedule consists of any combination of the following shifts: 9a-9pm, 9pm-9am, 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am for Seattle homes, and varying 8 hour shifts in King County Training: New counselors will complete 75+ hours of training which will include: Orientation & Safety, Core Basic Fundamentals of Caregiving, Nurse Delegation, First Aid & CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, Parkview Policies & Procedures training, Direct Support Staff with then be required to complete 12 hours of continuing education annually. . New employees must also pass a fingerprint criminal background check. Requirements Must be available to work 5 shifts per month, up to 10-12 shifts if needed

Responsibilities

The Direct Support Counselor will provide mobility support and promote the mental, physical, and nutritional health of clients. Responsibilities also include observing and recording clients' conditions and ensuring effective communication with clients and their families.
