This unique role involves delivering high-quality Design & Technology lessons (KS3/KS4).    It would be an advangtge if you could lead our popular Vocational Hair & Beauty course. However applications are invited from the following subject disciplines: Hospitality and Catering, Product Design, Graphics and Textiles.   We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring classroom practitioner with a real passion for Design and Technology. We offer an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and motivated team, and you must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’.  The Design and Technology department is a friendly, supportive and high-performing team of teachers. The department is made up of experienced staff so is a great place to start your career as a teacher, as well as somewhere where more experienced staff can thrive. The department is well resourced with subject-specific equipment. There is a Product Design classroom/workshop, two catering classrooms, a Graphics/Textiles classroom and a Hair and Beauty Salon. Every classroom has a visualiser, and these are used extensively by the team in episodes of guided practice. The department is supported by two technicians (Product Design and Catering (job share). The Design and Technology curriculum is built with the end in mind, and the KS3 curriculum prepares students for the KS4 qualifications of VTCT Hair and Beauty, WJEC Hospitality and Catering and WJEC Design and Technology:Product Design.
