About the Role: DTC Marketing Manager Shopify | Subscription-First | In-House We are a mid 7-figure brand, currently driven primarily by Amazon. Our DTC channel is early (~£100K) and we are now building it properly. We are hiring someone to own and scale the Shopify DTC growth engine — turning our store into a high-performing revenue channel. This role is for an operator who has already helped grow a 7+ figure Shopify subscription-first brand, and understands how to optimise the full funnel: Landing pages Product pages Offers Subscriptions On-site conversion List growth Emails and Retention Your Scorecard (You Own These) You will be responsible for improving: DTC revenue growth Store conversion rate (CVR) Average order value (AOV) Subscriber sign-up rate SMS + subscriber list growth Revenue per visitor (RPV) If those numbers don’t excite you, this isn’t the role. What You'll DoOwn the Shopify Growth Engine Optimise the full customer journey from landing page → PDP → cart → checkout Improve conversion rate and revenue per visitor across the store Implement and optimise subscription-first offers Manage the Shopify Ecosystem Own and optimise key Shopify apps (subscriptions, upsells, bundles, landing pages) Implement tools that increase AOV and subscription adoption Ensure clean tracking and data flow across the ecosystem Run Continuous A/B Testing Run structured tests across landing pages, PDPs, bundles, pricing, and messaging Test offers, product positioning, and subscription incentives Continuously improve store performance through experimentation Drive On-Site List Growth Build and optimise popups, forms, and SMS capture flows Improve visitor → subscriber conversion rate Partner with acquisition to maximise LTV, not just cheap opt-ins Own Store Merchandising Manage product positioning, bundles, and promotional placements Optimise subscription visibility across PDP and cart Ensure the store communicates offers clearly and converts efficiently Email & Lifecycle Marketing Own and optimise email marketing and automated lifecycle flows Build and improve key flows such as: Welcome flow Abandoned cart Post-purchase Subscription retention flows Improve email revenue contribution and subscriber LTV Work with acquisition and onsite growth to maximise subscriber monetisation Execute Light Shopify theme edits Build landing pages and promotional experiences Move fast without waiting on a team of five Required Experience Candidates must meet all of the following criteria: Proven experience working for a 7+ figure Shopify subscription brand Experience owning store performance and revenue metrics Strong knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem (subscriptions, upsells, landing pages) Experience running conversion optimisation and A/B testing programs Experience managing email marketing platforms and automated flows (e.g. Klaviyo) You Are Commercially sharp (you understand margin, CVR, and LTV) Fast, autonomous, and accountable Comfortable owning store performance and revenue outcomes Builder mindset — not a caretaker What Winning Looks Like (12 Months) Significant growth in DTC revenue Meaningful improvement in conversion rate and AOV Growing active subscriber base Strong increase in revenue per visitor A high-performing Shopify store that consistently converts and scales Non-Negotiables Do NOT apply if: You are part of an agency You cannot commit 20 hours per week You manage multiple active clients that divide your focus You are looking for side income rather than ownership You have not worked inside a 7+ figure Shopify subscription-first brand We want focus, speed and accountability — not divided attention.
