Description

For a global client in the fashion industry based in Amsterdam, we’re hiring an EMEA DTC Trade Director to lead strategy and allocation across e-com, full-price, and outlet channels—driving sales, margin, and growth across the region. Deadline for submissions is Tuesday 9th September at 12:00.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Retail preferred.
  • Proven expertise – 10+ years in merch planning, allocation, or commercial planning within fashion, retail, or consumer goods.
  • Strong commercial edge – skilled in stock optimization, markdowns, and promotions to boost sales and margins.
  • Analytical mindset – confident using data insights to guide buying strategies and inventory decisions.
  • Collaborative spirit – experienced in working with Finance, Buying, Merch Planning, VM, Marketing, Supply Chain, and regional hubs.
  • Leadership ability – adept at guiding teams and stakeholders across multiple locations.
  • Problem-solving strength – able to tackle complex challenges with clear, effective solutions.
  • Fluency in English.
Responsibilities
  • DTC Allocation: Lead initial product allocations across all DTC channels, ensuring optimized store-level quantities for each launch.
  • Product Availability: Ensure consistent Store & eCom availability of NOS (Never-Out-of-Stock) products, meeting KPI targets.
  • Replenishment: Manage replenishment to maximize sales in profitable channels and minimize markdown risks.
  • Product Flow: Oversee inbound and outbound product flow with warehouses and stores, aligning with intake capacity and launch priorities.
  • Markdowns & Promotions: Coordinate timing and execution of promotions and markdowns with Planning, Buying, and Channel teams to maximize results.
  • Commercial Planning: Drive sales, traffic, margin, and other KPIs across daily, weekly, seasonal, and yearly cycles in close collaboration with Finance and cross-functional teams.
  • Trading Events: Analyze performance of key trading events (e.g., promotions, campaigns, member activations) to inform future planning and optimize impact.
