Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly organised, and nurturing nanny to join a fully staffed household, providing dedicated care for four children aged 5 to 13. The family has twin girls aged 5 and two boys aged 11 and 12, and they are seeking a professional nanny who can create a stimulating, structured, and engaging environment for all the children while balancing their individual needs.
The nanny will be responsible for planning fun and developmentally appropriate activities, fostering a love for learning, and ensuring each child’s emotional and social well-being. In addition to childcare, the role includes light nursery duties such as organising the children’s belongings, managing their schedules, and coordinating extracurricular activities. The role requires both independent initiative and strong collaboration with parents and household staff, making excellent communication and teamwork essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong educational focus and a background in childcare or early childhood development. A native-level English speaker is required, and candidates with a strong academic background—such as early childhood education, teaching, child psychology, or a related field—are highly preferred. The ability to travel with the family for up to two weeks at a time is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and outings that promote learning and social development.
  • Assist with bedtime routines and maintain a consistent sleep schedule for all children.
  • Monitor and support each child’s developmental milestones and individual growth.
  • Foster a positive attitude towards education and a lifelong love of learning.
  • Maintain an organised calendar of school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure each child’s unique needs are met.
  • Manage light nursery duties, including replacing outgrown clothing and keeping children’s areas tidy.
  • Work closely with other household staff, including housekeepers, chefs, and drivers, to ensure smooth household operations.
  • Confidently handle both sole-charge and shared-care responsibilities, adapting to the family’s needs.
  • Travel with the family when required (up to two weeks at a time).
