Wood is recruiting for a Due Diligence Lead to join us on a permanent basis. This is an exciting, global opportunity supporting the Compliance Counsels East and West, who are responsible for providing advice on all business ethics issues globally, in relation to ethics & compliance due diligence (E&C DD). The position therefore provides an opportunity to assist the team in conducting E&C DD and provide meaningful advice and guidance across some challenging jurisdictions ensuring sustainable success for Wood.
We are open to this role being either hybrid from one of our UK office or remote.

The position involves administering our Commercial Intermediary (CI) Procedure end to end (CIs are our being our highest risk third parties that interact with government officials on our behalf), which includes conducting E&C DD, analysing E&C DD findings and identifying red flags, obtaining approvals, maintaining records and dashboards, assisting with assurance activities, producing management information reports and maintaining and refining Power BI dashboards.
You will also support the Compliance Counsel East with the implementation of the E&C DD elements of the Wood’s Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption programme, namely: Supply Chain E&C DD, Joint Venture E&C DD and Client & Project E&C DD.

Responsibilities
  • With support from the Compliance Counsels and Advisors, administer the CI Procedure, including:
  • Advising on CI queries;
  • Supporting colleagues in the business & E&C team with completion of the onboarding, approval and monitoring requirements for CIs;
  • Maintaining our CI registers and dashboards;
  • Conducting assurance activities to verify effectiveness of CI controls;
  • Analysing and reporting on our CI population;
  • Acting as secretary to the CI Review Panel (“CIRP”);
  • Raising awareness of the CI Policy and Procedure; and
  • Highlighting areas of improvement and support with improvement activities
  • With support from the Compliance Advisors (as necessary), assist with the Group’s business ethics and compliance programme, including conducting E&C DD and advising on E&C DD queries
  • Support the development and delivery of E&C DD training (both online and in-person)
  • Identify and foster key relationships to promote and embed the E&C DD requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Wood’s E&C DD providers
  • Develop and maintain management information reports and Power BI dashboards relating to E&C DD
  • Monitor the development of new technologies and E&C DD products and services
