We are working with an international maritime and trading business seeking a Due Diligence Officer to join its Legal & Compliance team. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Group Head of Legal.

• Key ResponsibilitiesManage KYC, due diligence and onboarding for clients, vendors and counterparties.
• Conduct counterparty and vessel screening.
• Use Kpler, World-Check or equivalent screening tools.
• Investigate higher-risk cases and conduct enhanced due diligence.
• Prepare due diligence memos and maintain compliance records.
• Support AML, sanctions and wider regulatory requirements.

About YouThe business is looking for 2+ years’ experience in KYC, due diligence, AML or compliance.

Maritime experience is preferred, particularly from shipowners/managers, bunkering, commodities/trading, marine services or shipping agencies. Experience with vessel and counterparty screening would be advantageous.Strong non-maritime KYC/AML candidates will also be considered.
