JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. driver must be willing to do labour work around a job site as well. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

SKILLS

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation with experience in driving commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and material transport regulations.
• Strong skills in automotive repair for basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle.
• Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.

• Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, dirt, and construction debris.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of materials transported and delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members regarding delivery needs and schedules.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when required.
• Perform routine maintenance on the dump truck, including basic automotive repair tasks to ensure optimal performance.
