Job Description Site Overview: GE Aerospace has an advanced engineering center located in İstanbul, Kartal, complemented by cutting-edge laboratories in Gebze, Kocaeli. Our offices in İstanbul and Ankara provide essential support to commercial and defense engines across the country. Our highly skilled engineers at the Türkiye Technology Center contribute to GE Aerospace’s engineering work on indigenous programs, new engine programs, software development, and additive manufacturing, supporting the country’s position as an advanced aerospace hub. Role Overview: • Execute the analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhere to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements. • Document technical data generated by the assigned projects consistent with engineering policies and procedures. • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new ideas. • Review data provided by suppliers and stakeholders against engineering requirements and present findings for final concurrence. The Ideal Candidate: Self-motivated, team-oriented engineering student who enjoys brainstorming and continuous learning, with a growing interest in gas turbine engines and a strong commitment to quality, clear communication, and disciplined engineering practices. Required Qualifications: • Undergraduate (3rd or 4th year) or master’s students in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. • Must remain enrolled as a student throughout the internship period • Part time working during the academic term (minimum 3 days a week) • Good command of English & Turkish (reading/writing) with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. • Proficient in MS Office Skills (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint). • Eager to learn, open to communication, self-motivated, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Team player and collaborative with a strong interest in growing a technical career. • Basic understanding of gas turbine engines and motivated to learn new disciplines as required. • Strong teamwork and communication skills, eager to learn continuously and share lessons learns with team. • Humble, respectful, self-motivated, analytical-minded, challenges existing processes.
