Perform structural and fatigue simulations involving road loads. Should be capable of performing modal transient analysis. Conduct detailed studies, including root cause analysis, to confirm the effectiveness of design solutions against key performance metrics. Carry out correlation activities to confirm the confidence level of virtual analysis results against physical data. Effectively communicate the results with Design & Release teams Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of both internal and external Fatigue tools Supports technical problem solving for significant quality/warranty issues and TVMs. Awareness of issues and recurrence across AIMS, DURIS, Commodity Health Charts, Standards, Lessons Learned and other CAE groups. Work on assigned special CAE projects and initiatives from Technical Specialist. Bachelor of Science/ Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 10+ years of experience in CAE, with a preference for fatigue analysis. In-depth knowledge of material science, fatigue principles (stress-life, strain-life), and structural mechanics. Proficiency with the following software: Pre-processing: ANSA, Hypermesh FEA Solvers: NASTRAN, OptiStruct, Abaqus, Fatigue Tools: nCode, FeSafe Verity, Fdynam CAD: Teamcenter, 3DX Post Processing: Hyperworks Knowledge of Finite Element methods and expertise in linear/non-linear implicit/explicit analyses
