Durable Medical Equipment Coordinator- Orthopaedics JOB LOCATION Duke Health Center Arringdon - 5601 Arringdon Park Dr, Morrisville, NC JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Durable Medical Equipment Coordinator responsible for performing a variety of duties to insure the DME program at their clinic site is run efficiently, safely, and profitably. They may be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Properly fitting patients with many different types of orthopedic braces, custom molded splints and devices within manufacturer guidelines. Review claims in DME WQs for your site to verify claims are clean and all documentation meets guidelines. Bring outstanding issues to attention of providers, local site leadership and DME Program Manager. Review inventory PAR levels and leakage, order stock, and stocking received inventory. Train and provide oversight at different locations to verify products are being applied to patients within manufacturer and safety guidelines. Forwarding all invoices to the HCA for payment once confirmation of product is received. Following up with any patient questions/concerns about DME products and billing issues. Review products, introduce them to faculty, and follow process to add them to Epic preference list and educate staff. Other duties as assigned by your manager or clinic leadership.
