FULL TIMEREMOTEPH / LATAM Position: Duty Drawback Analyst Type of Contract: Independent Contractor (Part-Time – 20 hours/week) Working Hours: M–F, PST (Open to candidates in the Philippines and Latin America) About the Company A fast-growing global brand seeking a highly experienced Duty Drawback Analyst to support the Retention Department. The company is focused on compliance, accuracy, and maximising duty recovery through a well-managed drawback programme. Scope of the Role The Duty Drawback Analyst will manage all aspects of the organisation’s duty drawback programme, including documentation oversight, claim preparation, compliance verification, and coordination with outside partners and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This is a senior-level role requiring extensive hands-on experience, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and organised records of all import and export transactions to support drawback filings, including oversight of the Tax Drawback database. Prepare, review, and file duty drawback claims with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in full compliance with federal regulations. Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, trade partners, and internal teams to obtain required documentation. Analyse import/export data to identify new duty recovery opportunities and optimisation strategies. Monitor claim status, respond to CBP inquiries, and resolve discrepancies. Support audits and internal reviews related to drawback filings. Provide regular reporting to management on activity, recovery performance, risks, and process improvement recommendations. Years of Experience Senior-level professional with 8–14 years of experience in Duty Drawback. Background Proven experience preparing and filing claims directly with CBP. Strong foundation in import/export documentation, compliance requirements, and data verification. Technical Skills Extensive knowledge of duty drawback regulations, compliance procedures, and CBP systems. Strong experience managing import/export documentation and large transactional datasets. Proficiency in organising, analysing, and maintaining high-volume data. Soft Skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
