Job Description Engineering & Maintenance Attend to all guest room and public area maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and civil systems. Troubleshoot and repair faults in equipment, machinery, and building infrastructure. Ensure proper operation of generators, water treatment plants, sewage systems, fire safety systems, and BMS (if applicable). Perform regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards. Shift Operations Act as the in-charge of the Engineering department during assigned shifts. Allocate tasks to technicians and monitor work progress to ensure timely completion. Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance logs, and materials used. Coordinate with other departments to support daily resort operations. Guest Service Respond to guest complaints related to engineering issues with courtesy and efficiency. Communicate clearly with guests regarding repair timelines and solutions. Ensure minimal disruption to guest comfort during maintenance activities. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with resort safety standards, SOPs, and statutory regulations. Participate in emergency response procedures, including fire, power failure, and water system emergencies. Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe condition. Team & Contractor Supervision Guide and support junior technicians during duty hours. Supervise external contractors and ensure work is completed as per resort standards. Assist in on-the-job training and skill development of engineering team members. Qualifications Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or related engineering fields. Minimum 2–5 years experience in hotel or resort engineering (luxury resort experience preferred). Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance systems. Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment. Willingness to work rotating shifts, including night duty and emergency calls.
