Job Description We are seeking a proactive and skilled Duty Engineer to join our Engineering team in Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring smooth operations and a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff. You will respond to maintenance requests, coordinate preventive maintenance, and support engineering projects in alignment with the brand standards of Sofitel. Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests, ensuring timely and efficient resolution Conduct routine inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other engineering systems Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of assets Assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment, systems, and fixtures Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory usage Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and environmental regulations Assist in energy management and implement sustainable practices Contribute to overall guest satisfaction by maintaining a safe and functional hotel environment Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professional conduct in the engineering department Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant field) Proven experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, or similar role Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using maintenance management software and MS Office Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and eagerness to learn Job Category: Engineering & Maintenance
