Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Manage the level and quality of service in keeping with Hilton standards, policies and procedures that is being delivered by Front Office staff (Guest Services Agents and Bellman). Ensure the safety and comfort for all guests and other departmental staff, during evening hours and on weekends. Be a visible presence showing support, offering suggestions and taking initiative and ownership of actions as you may be the only Manager on site at times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Ensure staff is properly trained including service expectations, hotel facilities and services, local directions, property management and reservation systems, safety and security procedures etc.
· Assist in scheduling of staff according to labour standards and forecasted occupancy; assign daily work tasks to employees and manage labour costs to stay within departmental budget.
· Monitor performance and recommend corrective or disciplinary action. Alert Management of potentially serious issues.
· Ensure adherence to procedures for hotel accounting, credit control, handling of financial transactions, securities of monies, guest security and emergency procedures as established.
· Promote hotel services, facilities and outlets; provide guests with information such as local attractions/events and directions to increase guest satisfaction.
· Respond appropriately to guest complaints/requests. Make appropriate service recovery gestures in accordance with established guidelines.
· Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
· Perform other duties as assigned which may include guest room tours, concierge services and special guest requests.
· Provide a visible management presence while on duty.
· Perform regular patrols of the guest floors and guest access areas including pool/fitness center and any public areas of the hotel.
· Follow company policies and procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to all staff and colleagues.
· Participate in hotel directed training and development programs.
· All other duties as requested by Management.
EXPEREINCE AND SKILLS:
· One to two year minimum supervisory experience, preferably in a hospitality setting an asset.
· Fluency in spoken and written French an asset.
· Experience in OnQ PMS an asset.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
· Post secondary education an asset, hospitality degree preferred.
· Competent in Micro Soft Office Applications (Word and Excel).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
