Crowne Plaza Queenstown is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu in the heart of New Zealand's South Island.  Our 4.5 star hotel is looking for a Duty Managers to join our friendly and professional team. Your day-to-day The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Duty Manager, you’ll create a warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location. By providing guests with information on our hotel along with local information or arranging transportation, you'll ensure that guests have a seamless experience in Queenstown! Complete welcoming and accurate check-in/check-out experiences Monitor the sale & supply of alcohol You will ensure that guest requests/complaints are dealt with in a timely manner by coordinating with other departments to handle these tasks/complaints e.g. hotel maintenance issues, pass-on requests for Food & Beverage, or Housekeeping amenities. You'll work to improve hotel service based on guest reviews and take pride in your workplace.  Provide excellent leadership to your team members, including training, rostering, coaching, and recruitment as required under the guidance of the Front Office Manager.  Oversee, make and manage hotel bookings and reservations Ability to Manage Crisis situations such as Earthquakes, Fires, Bombs & Viral Outbreaks Be educated on our IHG One Rewards program and strive for loyalty metrics Motivate team members and empower them to handle guest issues What you'll need Able to work 40 hours per week on a rotating roster - morning, afternoon, evening and the occasional night shift are all part of the role (including public holidays and weekends) LCQ & Managers Certificate will be held in high regard, however training can be provided What we offer Well...where do we start?! Responsibilities
