Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Duty Manager / Projectionist & IT Technician will be responsible for the following areas of operation within the Mwldan Group, incorporating the operations of Mwldan and its subsidiary company Theatr Mwldan Media Developments Ltd.
The principal responsibility of a Duty Manager is to lead the Front of House (FoH) team whilst on duty and manage different aspects of front of house operations associated with performances, screenings and other public events in the venue, or at any time the general public is in the building. The Duty Manager is line managed by, and is directly responsible to, the Operations Manager (responsibility for the FoH team overall lies with the Head of Marketing and Communications).
In addition, the Duty Manager / Projectionist & IT Technician will be responsible for all technical aspects of the company’s information technology (IT) operation, systems, equipment and services.

Responsibilities
  • To serve as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation. Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of our computer and network systems. Working closely with our current systems and packages - Yesplan, Dropbox, Gmail and Ticketsolve.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly. To troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • To responsibly repair and replace damaged computer and network components. To ensure the security of staff and any visiting companies computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software.
  • Support staff whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices and to set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
  • Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation.
  • To assist with designated tasks relating to the company’s IT systems, equipment and operations.
  • To prioritise and manage many open cases at one time.
  • To act as cinema projectionist, ensuring consistent quality of presentation in accordance with the company’s agreed procedure for screening films, including film file management, and the maintenance and operation of the company’s equipment relating to its cinema operations.
  • To liaise with distributors, print suppliers, DCM and advertising suppliers, ensuring the delivery and receipt of digital content and associated security KDM’s and keys.
  • To liaise with the appointed projection service contract provider, proactively reporting on the functionality of the equipment, fault finding and rectifying where possible under their instruction.
  • To reporting on and advise on the equipment functionality, highlighting any potential end-of-life equipment failures at the earliest opportunity.
  • To be aware of and ensure implementation and compliance with all licensing conditions for all areas of responsibility.
  • To ensure that health & safety checklists, training records and other applicable internal documentation is fully used, completed and kept up to date.
