ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience as a Duty Manager (or similar role) in busy café, bar, or restaurant settings.
  • Understands both day trade (cafés) and night trade (restaurants/bars) and can handle the transition seamlessly.
  • Is passionate about hospitality and committed to building a long-term career in the industry.
  • Is hands-on, proactive, and thrives on hard work – no shortcuts, no excuses.
  • Brings strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Holds a valid RSA and has a solid understanding of compliance and service standards.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Duty Manager, you’ll work closely with our management and floor team, taking responsibility for day-to-day operations, training and developing staff skills and ensuring a smooth service across both day and night trade. From specialty coffee mornings to late-night dining, you’ll keep standards high, inspire your team, and lead from the front.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Running shifts with confidence and authority.
  • Managing floor operations and ensuring seamless café-to-restaurant transitions.
  • Leading, motivating, and training front-of-house staff.
  • Driving sales through upselling and maintaining high service standards.
  • Handling customer feedback with professionalism and care.
  • Supporting stock control, cash handling, and compliance requirements.
  • Acting as the point of contact in the absence of senior management.
