CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualification in Hospitality Management advantageous but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years Food & Beverage experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant setting.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or front-of-house management experience.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a proven track record of inspiring teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and operational systems such as Alkimii, Hotsoft, or similar.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and team members alike.
  • Ability to lead by example with a proactive, positive, and solution-focused attitude.
  • Highly organised with excellent time-management skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, capable of supporting all departments as business needs arise.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding guest service and fostering a welcoming, professional dining environment.
  • Commitment to promoting sustainability and supporting the hotel’s green initiatives.
  • Willingness to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A positive and highly adaptive outlook and a can-do attitude, defaulting to a “YES” when assessing the feasibility of tasks.

You’ll support daily operations, provide hands-on leadership across departments, and ensure that standards remain consistently high.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this active hands-on position, you will be responsible to (non-conclusive list):

  • Champion the company vision and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service flow and optimal guest experiences.
  • Respond swiftly and professionally to guest feedback and complaints, enhancing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Foster a positive, energetic environment, promoting collaboration and a can-do attitude.
  • Drive sustainable practices and waste reduction initiatives in line with our green ethos.
  • Ensure that all guests are greeted in a warm and courteous fashion and tended to in a professional manner by every team member.
  • Ensure that all Hotel Operations are followed to the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure all outlets are properly prepared and set-up prior to and after service with an emphasis of maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company policy.
  • To maximise all sales opportunities and to promote a selling environment throughout the departments.
  • Identify areas for staff training on a consistent basis and ensure staff are capable of carrying out all tasks in an efficient manner through ongoing training sessions
